Victoria Lee

Victoria Lee is the author of A Lesson in Vengeance (2021), a dark academia gothic novel set at a boarding school in the aftermath of a student's disappearance, written during Lee's PhD dissertation year and citing Donna Tartt's The Secret History as a key influence. The novel received praise from Publishers Weekly for its "irresistible gothic atmosphere and unrelenting creeping dread," was named one of Tor.com's 30 most anticipated science fiction and fantasy releases of late 2021, and was among the LGBTQ+ young adult titles removed from libraries in Utah's Alpine School District in 2022. Lee also wrote the short story collection The Dark Academia Library (2022).
