Wallace West

Wallace West was an American science-fiction author, born in 1900 in Walnut Hills, Kentucky, who began publishing pulp fiction in the 1920s, including "Static" in Sea Stories Magazine (1926) and "Loup-Garou" in Weird Tales (1927). Most of his novels, written mainly after 1959, reworked his earlier short fiction, among them The Bird of Time (1959), Lords of Atlantis (1960), The Memory Bank (1962), River of Time (1963), and The Time-Lockers (1964), the last developed from a story first published in Science Fiction Quarterly in 1956. He is also credited with suggesting the plot for Arch Oboler's radio play Profits Unlimited. West died in 1980.
