Warren Lapine

Warren Lapine (born 1964) is an American speculative-fiction author, editor, and small-press publisher. After a decade as a heavy-metal bassist, he founded DNA Publications in the 1990s, which grew into one of the largest genre-magazine publishers in the United States, producing titles including Absolute Magnitude, Fantastic Stories, Aboriginal SF, and a period as co-publisher of Weird Tales; he was a Hugo Award finalist for Absolute Magnitude in the semiprozine category and a World Fantasy Award finalist for DNA Publications. After DNA's collapse in 2007, he founded further imprints including Wilder Publications and Fantastic Books, and later relaunched Realms of Fantasy and the webzine Fantastic Stories of the Imagination. His own short fiction is collected in Just Like the Jetsons.
