Wendy Mass

Wendy Mass (born 1967) is an American author of novels for children and teens, born in Livingston, New Jersey. She studied English at Tufts University before earning a master's degree in creative writing from California State University, Long Beach and a doctorate from Drew University, and has since published more than thirty novels. Her best-known standalones include A Mango-Shaped Space, which won the American Library Association's Schneider Family Book Award, Jeremy Fink and the Meaning of Life, Every Soul a Star, and 11 Birthdays, winner of the Black Eyed Susan Award, which launched an ongoing series of interconnected books. She has also written the Space Taxi and Time Jumpers series for younger readers and contributed to the collaborative Candymakers and Willow Falls books, and now lives in New Jersey.
