Will Wight is an American fantasy author born in 1989, known for progression fantasy that draws on wuxia and xianxia traditions. His most successful work is the Cradle series (2016-2023), following the martial artist Wei Shi Lindon as he ascends through a world of cultivation and magic; it became a multiple New York Times bestseller, with the audiobook of its finale, Waybound, topping Audible's charts on release. His earlier work includes the debut Traveler's Gate trilogy and the two-part Elder Empire sequence, which tells parallel stories across its Shadow and Sea volumes, and he continues Cradle's world in The Last Horizon. Wight won the Stabby Award for best self-published novel three times before retiring from further eligibility, and holds a B.A. and M.F.A. in creative writing from the University of Central Florida.
