Yvonne Woon

Yvonne Woon (born 1984) is an American author of young adult fiction, born in Worcester, Massachusetts. She is known for the Dead Beautiful trilogy - Dead Beautiful, Life Eternal, and Love Reborn - an urban fantasy series about an orphaned teenager, Renee Winters, sent to a mysterious boarding school after her parents' unexplained deaths. Woon has said her time at Worcester Academy shaped the trilogy's Gottfried Academy setting, and her interest in Latin informed the series' invented mythology and vocabulary surrounding the undead. The books blend gothic boarding-school atmosphere with romance and mystery, aimed at teen readers.
