Written for World Book Day, this short prequel to the Quint Trilogy follows young Quintinius Verginix, later Quint of the Edge Chronicles, in an early adventure that marks the first chronological entry in the whole saga. Slight in length but part of the established internal timeline, it is a quick way into Paul Stewart and Chris Riddell's world of sky pirates and floating rock. A World Book Day companion piece.
