Complicity

Narrator, leftist Scottish gonzo journalist, receives anonymous phone calls about a series of ingeniously sadistic murders (described in alternating chapters in second person) of unsavoury public figures, whom he had once criticized; as he comes under suspicion, he realizes he must find the killer in his own past.
