Programmer-turned-reluctant-hero Abby Hollander stumbles onto evidence that her boss, Robert Osmark, has hidden something in the code of the Viridian Gate Online he helped build, something bigger than the digital refuge he sold humanity as an asteroid closes in. To find out what, she has to dive into the game herself and team up with one of its AI creations, racing to expose Osmark's ambitions before he can crown himself ruler of whatever's left.
