A collection of short works mostly taken from two earlier works, Good Bones and Murder in the Dark. It contains short stories, poetry, science fiction, fairy tales and parables accompanied by Atwood’s fanciful illustrations. Many of the pieces are reworking's of classical works such as Hamlet's mother setting him straight on some things and a bat who explains how Stoker got Dracula all wrong.
