Connor runs from both the Lucidite Institute and his own pack, terrified of what the wolf inside him might make him do. Mika Lenna hasn't given up on reclaiming his creations, planting a mole inside the Institute and engineering a new werewolf built to hunt the others, while Zephyr races to track down the scattered pack before Olento Research gets there first, in the darker second Olento Research novel.
