Ms. Midshipwoman Harrington

Midshipwoman Honor Harrington's final training cruise aboard the heavy cruiser HMS War Maiden should be routine anti-piracy patrol duty in the Silesian Confederacy, except her training officer has already decided she doesn't belong there. When the ship runs into real combat and its senior officers are cut down, Honor has to prove herself under fire rather than under her instructor's scrutiny, holding War Maiden together despite heavy losses among the crew and her fellow midshipmen.
