Open Secret

Avery Goodyear edits romance novels for a living, so she's out of her depth when her boss hands her a manuscript tied to a video game that's been sparking real-world violence, laced with messages designed to radicalize the people playing it. FBI agent Rowan Kennedy, who knows Avery only from years of Twitter conversation, is investigating the same game from the other direction, tracking foreign operatives behind the propaganda. It opens the FBI Joint Task Force series within Fiona Quinn's Iniquus World, pairing an accidental discovery with a federal manhunt.
