The Silver Stair

On Schallsea Island, an aging Goldmoon and her follower Jasper Fireforge are laying the foundations of the Citadel of Light, a new home for healing magic after the old gods' long silence. The Silver Stair sends them toward a tower said to reveal hard truths about the heart, testing whether Goldmoon's new faith can survive scrutiny as searchingly as the old one did.
