The Walking Stones

A hydroelectric dam is planned to flood a Scottish glen whose stone circle walks every hundred years. Construction proceeds but the Bodach, now an old man, is able to call upon some power that forestalls the flooding. The protagonist is his boy protege. --starred review by Kirkus (above)
