Voodoo Academy

Annabelle Mulledy survived the voodoo attack that killed her family as a child, but not unmarked: she carries the spirit of a girl who died two centuries ago, along with the strange gifts that death left behind. When the malevolent loa Kalfu targets her as his way back into the physical world, the war god Ogoun intervenes instead, recruiting Annabelle to the secretive Voodoo Academy to master her abilities before Kalfu can claim her. It opens the Voodoo Legacy series of the Gates of Eden universe.
