Andrew Keith, known professionally as J. Andrew Keith (1958-1999), was an American writer of science fiction and tie-in fiction who worked extensively in tabletop role-playing games. With his brother William H. Keith Jr., he broke into freelance game writing in the late 1970s through Game Designers' Workshop's Traveller line, later working for FASA, Gamelords, and Fantasy Games Unlimited; he briefly edited the RPG magazines High Passage and Far Traveller in the early 1980s. He wrote novels in several shared-world military science fiction lines, including Wing Commander (Heart of the Tiger, False Colors) and The Fifth Foreign Legion (March or Die, Honor and Fidelity, Cohort of the Damned), and contributed to BattleTech fiction. He and his brother also used shared pen names including Keith Douglass and John Marshal for some of their prolific Traveller-era writing.
