Christopher Golden is an American writer of horror and dark fantasy, born in 1967, with a career spanning fiction, comics, and media tie-in work. He is best known for the Shadow Saga vampire novels beginning with Of Saints and Shadows, extensive contributions to the Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Hellboy tie-in lines, and the young adult Hollow series reworking Washington Irving's Sleepy Hollow legend. He has frequently collaborated with other genre writers, including the Hidden Cities novels with Tim Lebbon and the animated series Ghosts of Albion with Amber Benson, and has edited numerous horror anthologies.
