Edo van Belkom

Edo van Belkom is a Canadian author of horror fiction, born in 1962 in Toronto. He worked as a journalist through the late 1980s and early 1990s, including as a sports reporter and police reporter, before becoming a full-time freelance writer in 1992 and later teaching creative writing at Sheridan College and the University of Toronto. His novels include Wyrm Wolf, a 1995 Bram Stoker Award finalist for Best First Novel, the Wolf Pack werewolf series, and Lord Soth, a Dragonlance novel. He has also written under the pen names Evan Hollander and, for the Deathlands series, James Axler. Van Belkom won the 1997 Bram Stoker Award for Short Fiction for "Rat Food," co-written with David Nickle, along with three Aurora Awards and an Ontario Library Association Silver Birch Award.
