Lori Handeland

Lori Handeland is an American author of romance and urban fantasy, a five-time RITA Award nominee and two-time winner from Romance Writers of America. Across more than sixty novels she has written paranormal romance, urban fantasy, contemporary and historical romance, and historical fantasy, including the werewolf-focused Nightcreature series, the angel-and-demon Phoenix Chronicles, and the western-set Rock Creek Six. After twenty-five years in genre fiction, she moved into women's fiction with her 2019 debut Just Once, which drew a starred Library Journal review and was optioned for film. A New York Times and USA Today bestseller, Handeland lives in southern Wisconsin with her husband of more than three decades, where she continues to write and read between long walks.
