Lyda Morehouse (born 1967) is an American science fiction and fantasy novelist from Sacramento, California, who also writes urban fantasy under the pen name Tate Hallaway. Her 2001 debut, Archangel Protocol, opened the AngeLink series, a cyberpunk saga that blends near-future technology with angels, demons, and religious conspiracy, and won the Barnes & Noble Maiden Voyage Award for best debut science fiction novel as well as a Shamus Award for its private-investigator storyline; she continued the series with Fallen Host, Messiah Node, Apocalypse Array, and, after a long gap, Resurrection Code. As Tate Hallaway she writes the Garnet Lacey series. Morehouse donated her literary archive to Northern Illinois University's Rare Books and Special Collections in 2009.
