It's Christmas, and it's also the birthday of Garnet Lacey's vampire lover, Sebastian. He's never celebrated his birthday in all his long un-life, and Garnet is determined to change that. But a blizzard and a power-sucking demon stand in the way of her plans... Note from a resident of Madison, Wisconsin: the restaurant "Portobello" in this story is based on a popular and long-lived real-life Madison restaurant, Porta Bella. I do not think the real restaurant would be open in a blizzard on Christmas day, though. And we do not need any magic to cause blizzards in these parts, thanks all the same. We get enough snow without magic.
