Mel Odom

Mel Odom is an American author, born in California in 1957 and now based in Oklahoma, where he also teaches in the University of Oklahoma's professional writing program. Since selling his first novel in 1988 he has become one of tie-in fiction's most prolific writers, contributing extensively to franchises including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Shadowrun, and Forgotten Realms (notably The Threat from the Sea trilogy), alongside original work such as The Rover, winner of the Alex Award. Much of his output appears under pseudonyms tied to specific franchises: as Alex Archer he writes the long-running Rogue Angel adventure series, and as Don Pendleton he continues the Mack Bolan action line. He has also written media tie-ins for NCIS and novelizations including Blade and xXx.
