Sonni Cooper

Sonni Cooper is an American author and artist based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, born in Brooklyn in 1934. Before publishing fiction, she worked as a publicist for the actor William Shatner. Her Star Trek tie-in fiction includes Black Fire (1983), written for the original series' expanding line of novels during the franchise's early-1980s resurgence following its first feature films. Cooper's ties to Shatner and to the Star Trek fan community of that period are reflected in the novel's close attention to the show's established crew and their voices.
