Dimensions of Miracles
Robert Sheckley · 2 novels · 1 short story · 1968–2000
Dimension of Miracles is Robert Sheckley's satirical account of Tom Carmody, an ordinary and thoroughly unlucky man who wins first prize in an alien lottery he was never eligible for, and is then left to find his own way home across an endless sequence of near-identical, subtly wrong Earths, hunted along the way by a creature created specifically to kill him. It's a standalone comic SF novel rather than an ongoing series, in the vein of Sheckley's other absurdist odysseys.
