Other star systems

Set on the worlds of another star — an exoplanet, an alien planet, or the worlds and orbits of a named system beyond our own. The anchor term for interstellar fiction that plays out on particular worlds, one or several; add space alongside it when the story roams across ships and worlds rather than living on one. Not for our own solar system — Mars, the Moon, and the outer planets have their own terms. When the galaxy itself is the story's subject, galactic-scale replaces this term.
