The pizzeria closes at nine, but the animatronics never really power down. Five Nights at Freddy's is the horror mythos grown out of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza — a birthday-party palace of singing bears, rabbits, and chickens where the smiling mascots on stage are stuffed with something that used to be alive. Every jingle covers a scream; every restaurant that reopens under a cheerier name is built over the same buried crime. In the games it is your job to survive until morning. On the page it is your job to understand why you can't. The catalog runs in distinct lines.
