Welcome to Santo Domingo, a sun-bleached stretch of the California coast where the surf runs warm, the rent runs cruel, and the woman next door might be a demon, a shapeshifter, or an elf who came through a portal and never bothered going home. This is a shared town of paranormal comedy and unapologetic romance, where ordinary men — a broke grad student, a rancher, a guy just trying to make it to Friday — trip over the supernatural and, more often than not, into very good company. Michael Dalton builds the place one series at a time and lets them share a zip code. Demon Hunter opens the door: a grad student inherits his grandmother's grimoire, and the decidedly curvaceous demons that come bound to it — a thread Shifter Girls picks up in the same universe. From there the town widens. Red Elf Ranch swaps the shoreline for an isekai frontier where elves cross into our world, while Coastal Curves keeps its feet in the sand. Most stand alone; the connective tissue is Santo Domingo itself. The register is light, warm, and frankly steamy — adult harem fantasy played for wish-fulfillment and grins rather than gloom, quick to read and built to binge. Expect banter over brooding, heat over horror. Dalton's own reading order is the surest way in: start with Demon Hunter (one through five), let Shifter Girls fold in, then close the arc with Demon Hunter's sixth. After that, wander the town in whatever order suits you.
