The Coven

Every witch is a card, and the deck is never wrong. In a small mountain town where the ordinary and the arcane share the same crooked streets, a coven gathers under the sign of the Major Arcana — the Tower, the Empress, the Lovers, each witch bound to a card and to the found family that answers to it. This is Chandelle LaVaun's Coven: a single author's steadily widening world of spellwork, fated pull, and old power waking under new roofs. It opens with Elemental Magic, the flagship run, and spirals outward from there — Academy Magic and School of Magical Arts follow a younger generation through their schooling; Fae Magic, Vampire Magic, and Shifter Magic carry the coven's reach into neighboring corners of the supernatural, with an Old Magic standalone off to one side. Threads cross, characters recur, and the town at the center holds it all together. The register is warm before it is dark: romance drives the plot, banter cushions the danger, and the covenant of a chosen family matters as much as any curse. Newcomers should shuffle the deck at the beginning — start with Elemental Magic, in order, before following the world into its academies and outer courts.
