Jane Madison, the witch-librarian at the center of Klasky's Washington series, is between jobs and unsure whether to follow her partner David to his next posting when Sarah Anderson, sphinx and Clerk of Court for D.C.'s vampire-run Night Court, tracks her down at a bakery.
