Earth is the fourth and final novel of the arc that began with Death Wave, in which returning astronaut Jordan Kell discovers that an ancient explosion at the galaxy's core has sent a wave of lethal radiation toward the solar system — and that a climate-altered, flood-battered Earth has little patience for his warning. Published the year before Bova's death, this closing volume brings that slow-building extinction threat to Earth itself, as the trilogy's fight to be believed becomes a fight to survive.
