Hidden in Sight

The only surviving member of a family of immortal shape-shifting aliens and the human with whom she has formed close ties are living under assumed identities to evade enemies who fear and wish to destroy her, when suddenly these identities are attacked by unknown adversaries and they are forced to flee and attempt to counter this mysterious assailant.
