Present Tense

Opening the Janus Gate trilogy, an away-team accident on the seemingly empty world M-3107 vanishes Captain Kirk and Dr. McCoy without a trace, then swallows the search-and-rescue team Spock sends after them — Giotto, Kyle, and Sulu. Left in command with his crew disappearing one search party at a time, Spock must unravel what the planet is doing to time itself before there's no one left to find.
