Rendezvous on a Lost World

Alan Kemp spends everything he has on a rebuilt, obsolete starship, chasing a dream of running a trading shuttle along the Rim of the galaxy with three crewmates. What they find instead are two lost colonies, one overrun by giant mechanical insects, the other ruled by the descendants of a pirate, and a growing question of how much of the dream Kemp is willing to sacrifice to keep it alive.
