The Black Wing traces the making of a monster: Khisanth, a black dragon still young enough to resent her elders' cruelty, is shaped by neglect and violence into the merciless creature who will later terrorize the city of Xak Tsaroth. Told from a dragon's own point of view, it's one of the few Villains novels to keep its reader inside something other than a human or humanoid mind for the whole book.
