The Oath and the Measure

Long before he stands with the Heroes of the Lance, young Sturm Brightblade travels to Solamnia to claim the knighthood that is his birthright, only to find the Knights of Solamnia divided and diminished, clinging to a rigid Measure that has lost touch with the Oath it was meant to serve. The novel follows Sturm's first real test of what honor costs when the letter of the law and its spirit pull in opposite directions.
