The Peacekeepers

Investigating a derelict alien ship, Data and Geordi La Forge are flung light-years away to a station quietly keeping an entire planet disarmed at gunpoint — the locals seized the derelict's weapons generations ago and have used them to enforce peace ever since. Getting home means Picard's crew first has to talk a station and a planet out of a truce built entirely on threat.
