The Pirate Planet

Investigating an implausibly rich, hollowed-out world run by a bombastic cyborg Pirate Captain, the Fourth Doctor and Romana uncover a scheme even stranger than piracy: an entire planet used as a weapon, materializing around other worlds to crush and plunder them for their mineral wealth. Douglas Adams wrote the original 1978 television scripts; James Goss completes the novelization Adams never got to finish, restoring jokes and ideas the TV budget couldn't afford.
