Virgin Planet

Explorer Davis Bertram crash-lands on a planet settled generations earlier by the women of a colony ship, who have since found a way to reproduce without men and built a society that has simply forgotten they were ever needed. His arrival splits the planet's women between welcome and alarm, and a powerful faction of ruling Doctors comes to see the lone outsider as a threat to the order they have built.
