Tonya C. Cook

Tonya C. Cook, formerly credited as Tonya R. Carter, is an American author known for her work in the Dragonlance shared-world fantasy setting. She began collaborating with novelist Paul B. Thompson after they met through a university science fiction club, and the pair went on to co-write numerous Dragonlance novels together, including entries in the Elven Nations Trilogy (Firstborn), the Barbarians sequence (Riverwind the Plainsman), and the Ergoth Trilogy. Their books, set on the world of Krynn, extend the Dragonlance universe's core stories of elves, dragons, and ancient wars into new corners of its history. Cook's contributions span roughly two decades of the setting's tie-in fiction, largely written in partnership with Thompson rather than as a solo author.
