Snow in the Desert

On a scorched desert world of the Polity, a fugitive called Snow flees hunters chasing a secret his body has carried for millennia. Hirald, pale and unreadable, tracks him step for step across the wastes, and her reasons for the chase prove nothing like the bounty on his head.
