The Ghost Machine

James Lovegrove's third Firefly novel finds Mal taking on a job almost too simple to be trusted: haul a sealed, unmarked crate to the fixer Badger, no questions asked, for a fee too good to pass up. As always aboard Serenity, the cargo turns out to carry more danger than the crew bargained for, and keeping the job quiet gets harder the longer that crate stays sealed in the hold.
