FiveFold

Five hands, one sky. FiveFold is a shared science-fiction universe assembled by a small company of authors who each take a corner of the same imagined future and build outward, trusting the others to keep the stars in their places. The result is less a single story than a constellation — separate lives lit from the same far distance, meant to be read alone and understood together. The building is done by five: D. J. Bodden, Chris A. Jackson, D. Ahren Bell, Jennifer Brozek, and Kevin J. Anderson. The shelf divides along the people it follows — Zack Lancestrom, Alden Northcliff, and Janus Invarian each anchor their own run of books, while Tears of Perseus adds another thread to the weave. Those threads cross where the authors choose to let them and run apart where they don't; this is a collaboration, not a single chorus, and it wears its many hands openly. Read it the way a spacer reads a starfield: pick one bright point and travel outward. No single authoritative order governs the whole, so the honest default is publication order — begin with whichever protagonist's opening volume calls loudest, and let the rest of the universe assemble itself around you as the other threads drift into view.
